We were delighted to welcome our first international oncologist participants from Malaysia and Thailand at this month’s national Genomics Tumor Board at Gleneagles Hospital! A/Prof Tony Lim Kiat Hon, Senior Consultant and Head, Department of Anatomical Pathology, Division of Pathology at Singapore General Hospital, spoke on “Molecular Profiling: An Institutional Experience”. A/Prof Lim shared his experience at SGH in profiling patient tumor samples. The board also discussed the best treatment selections for four cancer patient cases based on their genetic profiles. The discussions focused on treatment selection for brain metastases of lung cancer, unexpected RAS somatic variants with potential sensitivity to anti-EGFR antibodies and other challenging cases.
The Genomics Tumor Board is a monthly meeting series organized by Lucence Diagnostics for oncologists, geneticists, pathologists and bioinformaticians in Singapore to discuss personalized treatment options based on genomic analysis. The April meeting was supported by the Singapore Society of Oncology and Astra Zeneca Singapore.
